“Mobile technology appropriation in a distant mirror: baroque infiltration, creolization and cannibalism” and at their Abaporu website, François Bar, Francis Pisani and Matthew Weber use the evocative suggestion of the Brazilian Cannibal Manifesto (Manifesto Antropófago) to consider mobile technology appropriation and its contribution to a rethinking of the public implications of these devices in Latin America.
